As I sit here with my newborn on my lap (which is why there will be typos), I am contemplating the last decade. No one knew what to call these years, but oh well. For me, the 90's were all about dating, relationship DRAMA and getting used to my hubby. Interestingly enough, I got pregnant with Parker in the first few weeks of 2000 and had Macy in the last few months of 2009. Bill had a little surgery (he wouldn't say little I guess) in December, so I guess I can call this last decade the "Child Bearing Decade", start to finish. It's been fun in it's own way, and I will probably look on these years fondly, even though they are extremely hard. I am looking forward to the next decade where my weight won't go up and down 5 separate times (there were 5 pregnancies...I miscarried before Quinn). My body will eventually become my own...just in time to get wrinkles. Parker could conceivably be on a mission when this decade ends...WHOA!
Alright TEENS, bring it on!
p.s....on a side note, I hate New Year's eve...it's a depressing holiday!

Totally hate New Years--may have something to do with me checking blogs at 6:42 pm. . .
Crazy how your childbearing fit neatly into a decade. Sorry to hear about your miscarriage! Good luck in the teens--I think the years where kids can get themselves dressed but are still sweet will be a blast!
I'm with you and Ashley--I have always hated New Years--sooo anti-climatic. I'm going to bed in five minutes and it's only 9:00 pm.
That is pretty cool that you got pregnant with Parker at the beginning of 2000 and had Macy at the end of 2009.
I think the next ten years will be awesome. I love that you guys didn't waste any time getting Bill fixed. I need to have Bill talk to Sam about the snip snip. Sam is a big wus and I think it is only fair that he undergoes that this summer since I'm going to have gone through four pregnancies and deliveries.
Brooke..we already maxed our deductable, so the snip had to be done this year!
WTMI.
(Are you impressed? A blog comment AND text lingo!)
Your brother has finally joined the 21st Century. In registering to post a comment, I accidentally created a blogsite of my own:
doctorjohnnewman.blogger.com
Actually, I just changed my blogger address to drjohn21 rather than drjohnnewman... just trying not to be found too easily in the big brother century.
Okay, Rocky, this time for sure.
Still getting the hang of this blog thing.
The blog address is actually:
http://doctorjohn21.blogspot.com
It's crazy to wrap the last 10 years up so nicely like that! They are certainly life changing, blurry eyed, diaper toating years aren't they. Now we get to look forward to the next 10 of zit popping, voice changing, teenage drama years.....I think I want the blurry eyed years back!!!!
p.s.......just before the Christmas break Tan had his "maturation program" at school....that was my "Oh my gosh he's almost a teenager" freak out moment...I'm doing my best to settle into the idea without wanting to put my kids into time warp bubbles so that they just stop growing up!!!! Good luck to both of us!
Copy, paste. My blog entry for the new year is done! J/K.
I love the decades... and time flies by so fast.. esp if we look at what is upcoming this decade!
