What ever happened to Dick and Jane?

Well... I have made it to the end of another crazy school year. Other than making lunches late at night, I hate doing math homework with Parker the most. He has a hard time focusing on the work and it's like babysitting him to get through it. The one bit of pleasure I took from this experience were the names they used in his story problems. Seriously. I'm not making up one of these:
D'Jon
Kazi
Roho
Kwame
J'Nae
Zahina
Tadeo
Anitra
Sh'Tania
D'Jerah
Mio
Jabari
Lamont
Kim Ree
Paloma
Machiko
Santino
D'Karla
Jafari
Jeong
Jannik
Barke
Rafiki (isn't that the monkey in the Lion King?)
Siew-Ai
D'Wayne
Zuri
L'Rae (enough with the apostrophe!)
Jharma
M'Lisa
Shay Zee
Quinh
Yolando
Cantara
J'Maresh
Haruto
Tarik
Takeshi
Anando
Raziya
Santo
Silviano
Kita
Sh'Vaughn
Zakia
Kaneisha
D'Trina
JaNeeva
Ashanti
J'Meika
MarVel
Hermelinda
Shakir
T'Von
Mjeed
Alegrias
Rodolfo
Jamaael
Calides
Jazzlyn
K'Shella
Yachi
Otieno
Chanisse
Neveah
J'Nana
J'Rae
Jira
Da-Xia

My spell check is going nuts right now. Anyway, it must be boring writing a math book and this is how the people pass the time.

Gosh, I wish I'd had this list before we gave our son his name! : ) So many great choices.

I thinkit is hilarous that you took the time to look up and type up all those names. that is so something I would do!

Well no wonder Parker had a hard time focusing.. who can focus on math when you are trying to figure out they came up with the name in the math problem?? lol

pretty funny stuff!

Um, is the math geared to black kids? Love that you kept track of those!
