Well, he doesn't look thrilled, but he is. The "Day Out with Thomas" had finally arrived. Quinn is my ultimate train lover. Parker always liked Thomas, even Emi did for awhile, but Quinn is borderline obsessed. Which is why I love the above picture. He looks SO much like Grandpa Newman (the ultimate obsessed rail fan). It's fitting that he likes the "choo-choo trains" so much.
Quinn really dug the old steam engine that was up there. However, right when Grandpa was in the middle of explaining all about the history of this particular engine, it let it's steam out. SO LOUD! Quinn held it together, but now refers to it as "train with funny whistle".
Parker and Emi were good sports (with a few bribes). Parker did like the Lego train they had set up because they had a Storm Trooper picnic (complete with Darth Vader) displayed. All in all, everyone had a super time. Quinn is talking about it non-stop. I'm glad we got to go!

So fun! We rode the "heber creaper" a couple of years ago and the kids loved it, but have never done the "Thomas" thing.....of course we really don't have any huge Thomas fans.
Glad it was a fun day!
We did the Thomas train here in Sacramento a couple years ago... Unfortunately the ride was basically a tour of the back of a bunch of industrial buildings. Looks like you had some nicer scenery to look at! However sounds like Quinn was so excited he didn't care at all about the scenery. So cute!
We are doing that this summer--I am excited to take Charlie. I bet Quinn is in heaven at your parents house with your dad's trains! I will have to see if I can take Charlie over for a visit next week when I'm in town.
How cute! What a fun day. I love being able to fulfill an obsessed child's fantasy. Sophie was like that when I got to take her to princesses on ice.
Your dad's trains in the basement were always amazing. Your kids are adorable--love Emi's hair. I'm glad little Quinn got a day for just him!
How fun! He looks so pleased!
How fun! Who doesn't love Thomas?
